Ore-Generation 0.0.1-2


In this update, I did a few things, though the main change I did was adding fully procedural ore generation.



Ore is randomly generated, fully. Its properties, type, vein type, everything is procedurally generated. The ores spawn with a type (Mineral, Metal, Ore, etc...) which will later on dictate the ores properties. Ores also have a spawn rate and generation type, which decides how common the ore is and what shape the vein generation is. currently the ores are just solid blocks of color, but they really are overlays on top of the terrain grid, I'm currently trying to figure out a good way to give them an ore texture. Chunk size has been lowered from 32x32 to 16x16 for performance and generation reasons. Also added a secondary 'wall' tile grid that is drawn behind the main tile grid to give the world a little more depth, and added an outline to the main terrain grid to give better visibility. Unfortunately, it already looks like the game can no longer effectively run on HTML, so this new update is only available on the downloadable version.
